Innocence. Pure, sweet innocence, this is what I strive to capture with child portraits. Being a kid at heart, I love interacting with young children and making them feel comfortable. I enjoy providing a fun and relaxed experience that will capture each child’s personality. We will take a combination of posed and candid photographs. For candid photographs, I will probably play and run alongside your child and treat the session as a play date for the sake of capturing them in their natural element. Real smiles lead to real memories that you’ll treasure forever.

Once you book a session, we will talk about what kind of feel you want your images to have, and we will work together to find the perfect location! Parks, fields and barns are all great locations for child portraits. Child portrait sessions are typically 1-hour. For babies, the best time for a session is once they are able to sit up by themselves. At this point, babies are smiling and reacting more to their environment, which makes for great photos! At least one parent or grandparent should be present for the duration of the session.

Let’s make this a memorable experience for you and your children. Sessions with younger children can be a bit tricky, so here are a few tips of advice to make sure your session goes as smoothly as possible:

·      Make sure your children are well rested

·      Leave plenty of time to arrive to the location early

·      Bring water and a non-messy snack for your little ones

·      Bring a favorite chair, toy, doll, game (bubbles, balls), etc.

·      Bring a change of clothes for your little ones
